I am rather partial to a good slice of fruit cake, but we're missing something here: cheese. Yes cheese.
You may have heard of this particular predilection but perhaps thought it was a joke or an urban myth, but believe me it's real, and damn tasty.

That's just not right though, is it? I mean cheesecake, fair enough, but that's like a total misinterpretation of the whole idea. You'll be telling me they use cheddar instead of marzipan next.

Well I challenge any of you lot to try it. It may sound a bit weird, but it is seriously tasty. Start with a mild cheddar.
